AES is seeking to hire a Summer Legal Intern. This role will be a member of the Legal team and will support a variety of matters throughout the summer. One important focus will be an large real estate and document review project related to an M&A transaction where the intern will work closely with both in-house lawyers and outside counsel. This is a full-time role (up to 40 hours per week) and will be expected to work out of our Salt Lake City, Utah office.

 

Primary job responsibilities: 

  • Support in-house legal team with research and document review matters

  • Assist in implementation of AI tool for document review and extraction of key data points

  • Prepare government filings related to real estate acquisitions and M&A transactions

 

Qualifications: 

  • Current Law student attending an accredited law school.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including interpersonal communication skills.

  • Background working with legal documents, real property closings, title and survey review is a plus.

  • Prior experience working in a legal department or law firm as a summer intern/clerk is a plus.

  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel is required.
