Position Purpose:

SCB Division of DCX-CHOL Enterprises is currently seeking an Engineering Intern that has recently graduated to join our team.


Purpose Statement

To support the goals and vision of DCX-CHOL through learning based experience. DCX-CHOL will provide leadership and instruction to the intern based on the nature of the position.


POSITION DESCRIPTION

  • Manufacturing of interconnect electrical wire harnesses, cable assemblies, and related hardware for aerospace, space, and military applications.
    • Interpreting specifications, drawings, process from a variety of customers.
    • Creation of Engineering Planning and related documentation. (Process requirements, applicable calculations, formulas, diagrams, etc.).
      • As required creation of 2D drawings from CAD models (Electromechanical)


    • Bill of Materials (BOM) creation, changes, and maintenance into MRP system.
    • Creation of Production Verification Documents (Work Instructions / Router / Traveler, Fixtures and Shop Aids, Formboards).


    • Aiding manufacturing / production and quality (QA) personnel as needed to ensure continuity of production flow.


    • Cross functional collaboration with department team members and leads. 
    • Fast-moving versatile and responsive environment to meet customers’ needs.
    • Take initiative and accountable for tasks and assignments on a daily basis.


  • The duration and timing of the internship will be six months from the start date, then will be evaluated on the future direction of employment. 


Qualifications – Education

The recent engineering graduate must be from an accredited degree program from a college or university. Typically, this internship candidate would occur after the final undergraduate semester has been completed. Preferred candidate has obtained either an Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering degree.


Qualifications - Experience

  • Bachelor of Science, in engineering discipline.
  • Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T).
  • Navigate Microsoft Office, (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat PDF.
  • Manufacturing background/interest, with a preference in electromechanical assemblies.
  • Knowledge in interpreting engineering drawings and / or cable assembly terminology is a plus.
  • Ability to research engineering requirements, and plan for production is a plus.
  • Electrical engineering concepts and electrical test equipment is a plus.


Schedule

  • Monday- Friday 
  • Full-Time 6:00am-2:30pm
