We are looking for an intern for our Ethics and Compliance (E&C) department. Within the E&C team, you will participate in the development and implementation of the compliance program & processes dedicated to export control regulations and international sanctions regulations. 

 

You will be in charge of the following missions:

  • Involvement in the development/improvement of ALSTOM internal program related to “export control & international sanctions” (drafting of instructions, guidelines and development of processes etc…). To that end, liaise with the necessary other functions within the group.
  • Support for export control analysis & classification.
  • Development of our dedicated Sharepoint E&C page. This page aims at informing all ALSTOM employees on applicable laws and regulations and ALSTOM internal rules and processes.
  • Preparation of internal communication tools.
  • Legal research on trade sanctions and export controls.

 

PROFILE

Educational level:

  • Master 2 level student or recent graduate (or equivalent) in international business law or student lawyer
  • Previous experiences in law firms and/or international companies

Technical skills:

  • Strong legal competencies (with a focus on international business law), ideally with some knowledge and experience in export control/international sanctions.
  • Excellent English language skills
  • Advanced proficiency in IT tools, with a particular emphasis on Microsoft Excel

Behavioral skills:

  • Dynamic, curious, reactive
  • Real interest in working on these compliance matters (i.e., export control/trade sanctions).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. The intern will have many interactions with other functions within the group (Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance etc…)
