Your role 

 

 

The job activities will be carried out within the R&D Department. The researcher will be involved in the characterization of new alloys and composites, development of a materials database and feasibility studies on the decoration and finishing of alloys.

 

 

Main responsibilities:

 

 

  • Feasibility studies on new alloys: quantitative characterization of mechanical properties, troubleshooting processing challenges, integration with production workflows
  • Material database development: supporting the database framework development, gathering and compiling data, development of reporting tools
  • Supporting feasibility studies on the development of new finishing strategies for alloys
  • Delivery of project milestones to internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure technical consistency for new products proposals

 

 

Main Requirements:

 

 

  • Educational Background in Materials Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
  •  0-1 years of work experience.
  • Basic know-how of metallurgy and characterization techniques for metallic materials (optical microscopy, micro-indenter, universal testing machine)
  • Previous experience in the development of automation on industrial machines is considered as a plus
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Solid experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Comfortable to work within an industrial/manufacturing environment
  • Languages: Italian and English
