Summer Farm Intern (2 Positions)
East 40 Farm | Northampton Community College

Dates: May – June 30, 2026
Compensation: $2,500 stipend
Schedule: ~20 hours/week + rotating weekend watering shifts

East 40 Farm is seeking two Summer Farm Interns to support our one-acre educational farm. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain experience in sustainable agriculture, small-scale production, and community food systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops
  • General farm maintenance (watering, weeding, bed prep)
  • Washing, packing, and distributing produce
  • Assisting with farm market and events

Qualifications:

  • Interest in farming, sustainability, or food systems
  • Ability to perform physical outdoor work in varying weather
  • Reliable, hardworking, and eager to learn
  • Team-oriented; prior experience a plus
