About the Role

Now Hiring: Youth Counselor Intern 

Location:  ECI-Paths Breinigsville PA 18031

CHOR Youth & Family Services is looking for Youth Counselors Interns to provide supervision, guidance, mentoring, and direction to residents in our ECI-PATHS.  Help enhance the lives of kids in need of your professional support! Our residential treatment facilities, located in Breinigsville, PA are dedicated to providing responsive and innovative care to adolescent males through a multi-disciplinary approach that integrates counseling, education, recreation, and life skills instruction.

Wage: $17.50 per hour

Job Type: Full time and Part-time

Shifts: 1st and 2nd Shift 

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate a variety of counseling, communication, and parenting skills, which support the formation of trusting, supportive relationships with the residents.
  • Maintain safety and security of residents and facility.
  • Actively supervise residents during academic instruction, recreational activity, in the community, and in common areas of the facility.
  • Collaboratively create residential behavioral goals in conjunction with clinical staff and case manager.
  • Create and maintain electronic health records (EHR) and reports to record residents’ progress toward behavioral goals.
  • Will be trained in accordance with our structured program policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or 2 years of college in a social or human services related field OR: High School Diploma or equivalent and at least two years working with youth.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Must pass criminal history (including FBI) and child abuse history clearances.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
