What you will do

Main Tasks / Responsibilities / Authorities:

· Interpret engineering documentation and data to solve problems – experience with reading and creating electrical schematics is a plus

· Create and update engineering documentation for design releases, including drawings, CAD models and wiring schematics

· Design and modify electrical and electronic components using CAD software

· Build and test prototype designs to prove out concepts

· Perform hands-on troubleshooting of electrical systems on construction machinery

· Assist assignment leader with day-to-day activities

· Present completed work to team in design reviews

Who are you?

Education/Professional Qualifications required for the position:

  • Currently enrolled in secondary education program and majoring in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or related field
  • Applicants must have completed 30 semester hours before the internship starts and have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.75
  • Completion of 1 year of engineering schooling from an accredited university (Bachelors program), preferred
  • Fall interns can work up to 30 hours during the semester.

For all intern and co-op positions, the hourly range is set at $17.00 - $46.00. The hourly rate for these roles is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, academic classification, and degree seeking area of study.
