About the Role

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Intern performs entry level work within an assigned function under supervision, as part of a training or learning experience. Duties are varied and the Intern receives instruction and training from employees and supervisors on processes and procedures.



This position supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts and demonstrating a commitment to team work and cooperation.



QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.



LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:

EXPERIENCE: Prior related experience preferred, but not required.



PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS:

Demonstrates the competencies as established on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool for this position.



WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Potential for exposure to the hazards and risk of the hospital environment, including exposure to infectious disease, hazardous substances, and potential injury.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:

This position reports to the department manager or supervisor.
