Description:
The Intern, Audio/Video Production Technology is an entry-level role designed for individuals seeking hands-on experience in live event production within a dynamic sports and entertainment environment at Sutter Health Park in Sacramento. This position supports game day and event presentation by assisting with audio, video, and broadcast operations to ensure an engaging and seamless experience for fans, staff, and performers. The intern will work closely with the production and technical teams while building foundational skills in live event production, control room operations, and multimedia content.

Responsibilities:

Live Event Production Support

  • Assist with setup, operation, and teardown of audio and video equipment for games and events
  • Support control room operations including video boards, replay systems, and live feeds
  • Help ensure all in-game entertainment elements (music, graphics, video) run smoothly and on schedule

Audio & Video Operations

  • Assist with operating cameras, audio boards, and playback systems during events
  • Support microphone setup, audio checks, and troubleshooting sound issues
  • Help manage video content playback, including sponsor assets, replays, and promotional content

Content & Media Support

  • Assist in preparing and organizing digital media assets for events and productions
  • Support basic video editing, clipping highlights, and content formatting
  • Help maintain media libraries and file organization systems

Equipment & Venue Readiness

  • Participate in routine checks of production equipment to ensure functionality and readiness
  • Assist with maintenance and organization of audio/video gear and production spaces
  • Help troubleshoot basic technical issues and escalate complex problems as needed

Collaboration & Event Execution

  • Work closely with production staff, marketing teams, and game operations to execute show elements
  • Assist during rehearsals, sound checks, and live productions
  • Help document processes and support continuous improvement of production workflows
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Available to work on-site in West Sac, CA for the duration of the program (May–August)
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Broadcast Production, Communications, Media Production, or a related field 
  • Basic understanding of audio/video equipment and production workflows
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow cues in a fast paced live environment
  • Knowledge of video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets)
  • Must be willing and able to complete the entire duration of the program
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and game days
  • Passionate about working for a professional sports team!
