The Opportunity

This role forms part of our 12-week paid summer Vacation Program, that runs between November 2026 – February 2027.  Fugro’s Vacation Program is a key recruitment strategy for our future Graduate offers and creates a platform and opportunity for you to gain hands on experience to determine if this career direction is for you, whilst equally showcasing your ability, motivation, and attitude to our team.

As a Vacation Student - Project Engineer, here are some of the things you will get to be involved in:

  • Supporting teams with various project related tasks
  • Procedure preparation, technical notes, scope of work, design reports, deployment calculations
  • Helping with procurement, document control process and more

Based in West Perth, this role forms part of our Marine Asset Integrity (MAI) area, which will give you solid fundamental knowledge and exposure to projects in our Subsea Inspection, Repair, Maintenance (IRM) and Marine Operations portion of the business.

About You

We are interested in taking applicants from the following courses.

  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Structural Engineering
  • Mechatronic Engineering
  • Naval Architecture
  • Other Engineering majors

Your success in securing this role will require:

  • Be in your penultimate year of your degree
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel
  • Good verbal communication, interfacing and writing skills
  • Proactive and driven, with good time management
  • Good teamworking skills
