Organization & Team Overview
Comcast’s Technology, Product & Experience (TPX) organization works at the intersection of media and technology. Our innovative teams are continually developing and delivering products that transform the customer experience.
We are part of the CONNECT Org within TPX and the NOMAD department within that. This team is built on the "If you repeat an action/activity, you are doing it wrong" philosophy. This team is responsible for automating the complete lifecycle of a complex infrastructure that delivers comcast's next generation access network, involving server racks, networking gear and all the software, configuration and operating systems that make them up. We build applications that are idempotent and at the same time supported with necessary guard rails, which allow the automation solution to bring out its full potential but also with a safety hook all the time. It’s a fun-loving start-up mode team - partnering with new solution initiatives, bringing out new technology adaptations and always on a hustle.
Role Description
Are you excited to experience startup hustle fun within a big organization? This position for a software engineering co-op in the Network Operations Monitoring and Development (NOMAD) department at Comcast will exceedingly provide that. In NOMAD, we’re building a faster interaction with the internet for our customers using containerized, microservice-based, cloud-deployed services.
As a software engineer in the NOMAD Engineering team, you will be part of a team that is building next generation access network which will help deliver HSD, Voice and Video services. The software applications we are building is a containerized, microservice-based, cloud-deployed services. We are looking for talented individuals that will work on applications to automate configuration generation, software deployment and troubleshooting. These applications are intended to run on our lab systems as well as on our production systems.

- Developing solutions that automates and orchestrate huge manual error-prone procedures
- Developing tools that will measure effectiveness of such automation products to further improve
- Implement solutions that are R&D based on cutting edge technologies.

Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Employ test-driven development to write production-ready code
- Perform code reviews
- Participate in an agile Scrum software development framework
- Contribute to design and architecture sessions
- Collaborate constructively with team members
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of data structure and algorithm design
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming
- Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments
- Experience in Test-driven development/test automation, continuous integration, and deployment automation
- Adaptable, proactive and willing to take ownership
- Good communicator, able to analyze and clearly articulate complex issues and technologies understandably and engagingly
- Experience in programming (Python, Javascript, Golang, Java)
- Great design and problem-solving skills, with a strong bias for architecting at scale
- Preferred Majors: Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering
Minimum Qualifications and Eligibility Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree from Drexel University, with a cooperative learning track.
- Available to work 40 hours per week for 6 months starting September 22, 2026, through March 26, 2027.
- Authorized to work in the United States with no current or future sponsorship needs
- Available to report in-person to the work location on the job posting

Base Pay: $32.00Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Comcast provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a Commission under the terms of an applicable plan, while most non-sales positions are eligible for a Bonus.
