【Intern】Business Planning & Market Analysis Intern (InterCon Region & ASEAN)

▉Internship Arrangement
Semester Internship: Starting after the beginning of the 2026 academic year in September (3–6 months) , Part-time arrangement available (approximately 3 days per week).
Extension may be considered based on performance and project continuity.

▉Position Summary
This internship position is designed for graduate students who are highly interested in international political economy, regional market research, business strategy analysis, and global business development.
The intern will support business planning and market analysis activities for Advantech’s InterCon Region (Middle East & Africa, India, Russia, LATAM) and ASEAN business operations, including macroeconomic analysis, regional market intelligence, industry research, data analysis, and business expansion studies. This role provides an opportunity to apply academic research capabilities to real-world multinational business operations and strategic planning.

▉Key Responsibilities
1.Conduct research and analysis on macroeconomic, geopolitical, and industry trends across key markets within InterCon Region, including India, ASEAN, Middle East, and Africa.
2.Support regional market intelligence collection and analysis, including industry development, market potential, investment environment, policy changes, and competitive landscape analysis.
3.Assist in business expansion studies for selected industries and markets, such as AI, Industrial Automation, Smart Manufacturing, Energy, Infrastructure, and Digital Transformation sectors.
4.Prepare market analysis reports, business briefings, management presentations, and regional business analysis materials for management review.
5.Collect and organize external research materials, including economic indicators, government policies, industry reports, trade statistics, and competitor information.
6.Support the BP&M team in business performance reviews, regional strategy tracking, and cross-region business analysis activities.
7.Participate in internal meetings when required and assist in preparing meeting summaries, executive highlights, and presentation materials.

▉Qualifications
1.Master degree and Economics (SPE) or related graduate programs.
2.Academic background in Political Economy, International Relations, Finance, Economics, Business Management, Public Policy, or related disciplines.
3.Strong analytical thinking with the ability to translate research findings into business insights and strategic recommendations.
4.Strong interest in international markets, global economic trends, regional development, and international business topics.
5.Good English communication and report-writing skills. Chinese capability is a plus but not mandatory.
6.Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, and basic data analysis skills.
7.Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently in a multicultural environment.
8.Prior experience in research assistance, business analysis, consulting, financial analysis, or market research is a plus.
