The Business Development Manager is accountable for maintaining and developing a portfolio of Remanufacturing, Refurbishment and Reuse of purchased trucks components. You will, as a member of the purchasing community, support global buyer network to identify, promote, implement Circularity purchasing initiatives as well as maintain existing portfolio.
 
That means e.g.: 
 
-Support Purchasing segment leader in the definition of their Circular Strategy.
-Scout the market trends, possibilities in new areas that could make business sense and develop potential suppliers to achieve our Circularity targets. 
-Provide accurate data to allow business decisions and true assessment of our Circular activities. 
-Steer Purchasing activities deliveries in Circularity Projects
-Collaborate with the cross-functional stakeholders to ensure initiatives can deliver their ambitions and business needs. 
-Use and report within the Purchasing function circularity metrics in line with Brands requirements.
-Promote Circular business within the Purchasing community and our Supply Chain Partners.

As a Business Development Manager Junior, you will join the Remanufacturing and Circularity Purchasing team within Service Operations and Technology Purchasing  in Sweden, Göteborg site for a mission of 13 months. The starting date of the contract is on September 1st, 2026.

We are looking for someone that is curious, driven and has a passion to be part of Volvo Group’s journey to shape the future of transportation and its supply chain with a full focus on sustainability. We are looking for someone with the ability to maintain and build relationships, drive change and who dares to try things no one has done before. 
 
-You like to do business and have a passion for purchasing; you demonstrate excellent communication skills both at operational and executive level and you are comfortable in cross functional and multicultural set-up 
-You show interest in manufacturing processes and design engineering

-You can build and maintain strong relationships with your counterparts in the internal and external ecosystem 
-You are always striving to improve both yourself and your work environment 
-You are driven, responsible and accountable for your deliveries

-University degree (Bachelor or Master), preferably in business or engineering
-Fluent in English, both written and spoken
-Creative and solution-oriented mindset
-Positive mindset and team player
