About the Role

POSITION SUMMARY: 

The primary role of this internship position is to assist the Process and Quality Department in Norwell with day-to-day functions / issues, short and long-term projects focused on driving improvements to our Process Control and Quality System upgrades.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

  • Assist with the documentation of quality systems and testing procedures.
  • Assist with analysis of current quality themes – shape and yield improvements
  • Documentation of current processes with a focus on quality documentation in cymbal making.
  • Assist Process Engineers with equipment capability assessments and process control setting definition.
  • Participates in cross-functional team projects as assigned.

LEVEL OF SUPERVISION RECEIVED: 

Under direct supervision, reporting questionable issues to manager or others in department.

EDUCATION, TRAINING and/or EXPERIENCE: 

Must be enrolled in an accredited Bachelor’s degree program with a Major in Engineering. Excellent organizational skills, project management skills, and attention to detail. Thinking outside the box for solving problems, duties and tasks of the position. Possess strong customer service skills. Ability to multitask and work on multiple projects for multiple brands simultaneously. Ability to work within a collaborative, team-based environment.

TECHNICAL SKILLS, CERTIFICATES, and/or LICENSES: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) 

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to correctly make decisions involving customer issues/ problems including when to escalate the problem

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Exceptional written and oral communication skills

ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS and/or PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The incumbent will use a computer keyboard, monitor and mouse regularly

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY (If Applicable): This position will not have any supervisory responsibilities
