About The Company
Agri-Industrial Plastics Company is custom industrial blow molder specializing in S.O.R.E. fuel tanks and large part industrial blow molding. We supply a variety of blow molded components to leading OEM's in the Outdoor Power Equipment, Power Sports and Agricultural Equipment industries. Leveraging our 39+ years of blow molding experience to offer unparalleled engineering and design support including: -Concept Validation -New Product Development -Blow Molding Process Simulation -Tooling and Part Design Optimization -Conversion From Rotational Molding -Project Management Centrally located in the Midwest, our 350,000 square foot facility includes (21) accumulator head extrusion machines ranging in size from 5# to 100# shot capacity, and (6) multi-layer continuous co-extrusion machines producing gasoline tanks from 1 gallon to 50 gallon liquid fuel capacity. Our non-automotive fuel tank production capabilities include mono-layer HDPE for diesel and multi-layer continuous co-extrusion for gasoline tank applications, providing barrier properties to meet evolving EPA & CARB fuel vapor emissions standards.

FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt Job Status: Full Time, M-F, 8am-5pm

POSITION SUMMARY

The Intern’s primary function is to develop a baseline understanding of the business and department functionality and processes while aiding in projects and daily tasks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Job shadow applicable departments within the company to gain a cross functional knowledge of how the company operates and succeeds.

• Complete department and company projects as assigned by manager.

• Assist with and perform daily routine functions within assigned department.

• Prepare and present an end of internship overview to provide a summary of what was learned and accomplished throughout the summer.

• Complete one week of Machine Operator training and assist in production as needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

REQUIRED: One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical environment requires the employee to work in a manufacturing and office environment. The employee must have the ability to wear personal protective equipment. Occasional travel may be required.
