Description:
The Intern, Technology is an entry-level role designed for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in IT support within a fast-paced sports and entertainment environment. This position supports day-to-day technical operations, assists with troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and helps ensure a seamless technology experience for staff and guests. The intern will work closely with the IT department while developing foundational skills in endpoint management, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and information security.

Responsibilities:

Technical Support & Troubleshooting 

  • Assist in responding to technical support requests for hardware, software, and connectivity issues
  • Provide basic troubleshooting support for Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android devices
  • Help set up and maintain office and venue equipment, including laptops, printers, and mobile devices
  • Support setup and maintenance of office and/or ballpark equipment, including laptops, printers, point-of-sale systems, and mobile devices
  • Escalate complex issues to senior team members as needed

Endpoint & Microsoft 365 / Google Workspace Support

  • Support users with Microsoft 365 applications such as Outlook, Teams, and OneDrive as well as Google Workspace environment
  • Assist with device setup, imaging, and deployment processes
  • Help maintain user accounts and permissions under supervision

Event and/or Ballpark Technology Support 

  • Participate in routine checks of office and venue technology to ensure readiness
  • Assist with technology setup and support during meetings, game days, and live events
  • Help document common issues and solutions for team reference

Information Security Support

  • Assist in monitoring and reporting suspicious activities such as phishing emails
  • Support basic security tasks, including data collection and documentation
  • Learn and help follow organizational security policies and best practices

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Available to work on-site in West Sac, CA/Las Vegas, NV for the duration of the program (May–August)
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field 
  • Basic understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and common business applications
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace tools preferred
  • Familiarity with help desk or IT support environments (academic or professional) preferred
  • Must be willing and able to complete the entire duration of the program
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and game days
  • Passionate about working for a professional sports team!
