 Centric Consulting is seeking a Cybersecurity Consultant Intern to support Identity and Access Management (IAM) operations within a client environment. This role provides hands-on experience in managing access requests, supporting service desk activities, and ensuring adherence to security policies. The intern will work closely with IAM analysts and cross-functional teams, gaining exposure to enterprise cybersecurity practices, access governance, and operational processes in a fast-paced consulting environment. 
 

In this role, you will: 

  • Triage, prioritize, and resolve incoming IAM service desk tickets related to access requests, account provisioning, and permission changes
  • Respond to, document, and track ticket resolutions, escalating more complex issues to senior IAM analysts as needed
  • Monitor and report on ticket volume, SLA compliance, and recurring access issues to help identify trends and improvement opportunities
  • Maintain accurate records of access changes and support periodic access reviews and audit activities
  • Collaborate with IT, HR, and business teams to ensure access requests are fulfilled accurately and in accordance with security policies
  • Follow established IAM processes and contribute to continuous improvement of service desk operations
  • Develop foundational knowledge of cybersecurity practices, identity governance, and enterprise access controls 
     

 

Who You Are: 

  • A detail-oriented and analytical individual with a strong interest in cybersecurity and identity and access management
  • Organized and able to manage multiple tasks in a structured, process-driven environment
  • A clear communicator who can document work accurately and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Eager to learn, ask questions, and contribute in a hands-on, team-oriented setting
  • Comfortable working with systems, tools, and data while maintaining a high level of accuracy
  • Aligned with Centric Consulting’s values and motivated to deliver a positive client experience

Education & Experience:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Foundational understanding of cybersecurity principles, identity and access management, or IT service management concepts preferred
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow) or access management tools is a plus
  • Relevant coursework, projects, or internships in cybersecurity or IT support are preferred
