About the Role

The Road Accident Fund’s mission is to provide timely and equitable assistance to those affected by motor vehicle accidents through the provision of appropriate social benefits to ensure financial relief and recovery for qualifying individuals.

 

 

 

Purpose of the Internship: The Road Accident Fund is committed to youth skills development, providing graduates with an opportunity to gain work-based experience. Applications are invited for the Correpondence Internship from unemployed graduates between the age of 18 and 23. The Internship program will run for a period of eighteen (18) months. Verification process will be undertaken to verify whether you have previous work anywhere within the Republic of South Africa.

 

Work based exposure may include the following:

 

  • Answering incoming calls and attending to walk in customers to the branch
  • Assisting with the receipt of incoming correspondence and new claims at Reception Desk within Document Services.
  • Assisting with the scanning of incoming new claims onto the Bokamoso Claims system.
  • Assisting with copying documentation in lieu of PAIA requests.
  • Assisting with the courier services – preparing claims for postage via courier and handling of packages received via courier.
  • Assisting with collection of mail at the Post Office and handling and distribution of mail within the region.
  • Assisting with any ad-hoc tasks whenever the need arises within Document Services’ team.
  • Filing and safekeeping of claims files in repository (hardcopies).
  • Retrieval of claims files in repository.
  • CAF reception assisting internal customers (claims staff).
  • Filing of and safe keeping of departmental documents.
  • Processing finalized Claim files for offsite storage.
  • Assisting with departmental reports.

 

Qualifications and other Requirements

  • Certified copy of Grade 12 / Matric certificate
  • B degree / Diploma In Office Administration
  • Certified copy of your ID
  • Certified copy of Academic transcript
  • Your CV and motivational letter

Remuneration

The interns will be awarded a monthly stipend.
