Kimball Midwest, a national distributor of maintenance, repair, and operation products, is searching for an HR Shared Services Intern for our Columbus, Ohio location.

Responsibilities
- Assists the HR Shared Services team in responding to general HR inquiries via phone and email, under supervision
- Supports data entry, transaction processing, and documentation within the company’s Human Capital Management (HCM) system
- Helps maintain accurate and organized HR records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with company standards
- Assists with preparing basic HR reports, tracking metrics, and compiling data to support team dashboards and service level measurements
- Supports HR projects and process improvement initiatives, including documenting processes and identifying opportunities for efficiency
- Participates in training, shadowing, and knowledge building activities to learn HR Shared Services functions and best practices
- Provides administrative support to the HR Shared Services team as needed
- Completes other duties as assigned that are consistent with the role and learning objectives
Qualifications
- Actively pursuing a degree in HR or other related business field
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Understanding of AI tools, machine learning principles, and automation workflows relevant to the role.
- The ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- The ability to read and write small letters and numbers; the ability to make arithmetic calculations; and the ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions
Additional Information
This is a Monday-Friday role. The hours are 8am-5pm
