About the Role

Job Description

Our Failure Analysis Team is looking for a talented Electrical Engineering college student to join our team this Summer as a Failure Analysis / Reliability Engineering Intern in our Palm Bay office. The organization is responsible for product qualification testing and root cause failure analysis of Renesas’ products.  The successful candidate will work directly with Failure Analysis and Reliability Stress Team members during their internship. An intern working with the team can expect to learn processes, techniques, and skills during their time with our team. 

Primary Responsibilities:

Learn the basic failure analysis flows, understand the reliability stresses and gain experience with the use of a variety of lab instrumentation.  A project will be assigned using the candidates’ skills to develop a key capability for the failure analysis and reliability labs.

 Key Responsibilities;

  • Develop scripts to extract critical information from ATE validation data logs for high-speed memory testing.
  • Metric Development: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for memory stability across various PVT (Process, Voltage, Temperature) corners.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Must be currently enrolled in a full time university program pursuing a BS degree in electrical engineering.
  • Knowledge of the semiconductor industry is a plus.
  • Experience with electrical bench or instrument control work is ideal. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must be a self-motivated team player who is able to take direction, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and communicate effectively.

This is an ITAR role - the candidate must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. Person.
