Job/Role Description:

We are seeking two AI Native Process Automation Interns who are mission-driven, and desire to be a part of an AI-enabled healthcare services company at a fast growth rate.  The ideal candidate has proactively taken time in school independent of coursework to learn and experiment with Claude Code, OpenClaw, and other AI-powered “vibe coding” platforms to automate workflows and improve operational efficiency.

Successful Interns will demonstrate a strong growth mindset, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution. They should be comfortable navigating ambiguity, learning quickly, and identifying practical ways AI can streamline and optimize business operations.

This role will partner cross-functionally across multiple departments to support the identification, design, and implementation of automation opportunities for high-volume operational processes — beginning with foundational workflows such as travel coordination and scheduling, and expanding into broader operational and process optimization initiatives as the internship progresses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • An ideal candidate will have systematic methodology to define and solve problems.
  • Ability to mirror software engineers in being comfortable to learn quickly, navigating ambiguity, and using technology to create practical solutions.
  • Ability to take one process and automate or streamline it using AI.
  • Support the design, testing, and optimization of AI-enabled workflows and business process automations across operational and corporate functions
  • Partner cross-functionally with: Operations, Product, HR, Clinical, and leadership teams to identify repetitive workflows and opportunities for automation and efficiency gains
  • Assist in evaluating and implementing AI tools, automation platforms, and workflow solutions to improve scalability, accuracy, and productivity
  • Conduct research on emerging AI technologies, automation trends, and best practices relevant to healthcare operations and business functions
  • Document current-state processes and help design future-state AI-native workflows and operational playbooks
  • Analyze workflow performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and recommend process improvements using data-driven insights
  • Build and maintain process maps, SOPs, trackers, dashboards, and automation documentation to support operational consistency and knowledge sharing
  • Support implementation and change management efforts for new AI-enabled processes, systems, and tools
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, test automation workflows, and ensure solutions align with business and user needs
  • Assist with prompt engineering, workflow experimentation, and optimization using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or other automation platforms
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence within a fast-paced healthcare technology environment

Requirements:

  • Must be currently enrolled in or pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree at an accredited University or College (Full-Time or Part-Time)
  • Experience in Claude Code, OpenClaw, and other AI-powered “vibe coding” platforms to automate workflows and improve operational efficiency.
  • Interest in healthcare, AI, or technology-driven business
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated leadership, initiative, and collaboration skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

Preferred:

  • Mission-Oriented:  An ideal candidate will start the  internship understanding what the mission of our company is and really connect to that as it will drive the quality and urgency of the work.
  • Builders & experimenters:  A candidate that has thought through a systematic methodology to define problems and then solve them.
  • Culture-Oriented. Someone who understands the balance between autonomy in solving problems, and mentorship in defining the problem and soundboards on the approach to go after it.

Work style & logistics:

We are a fast-growing, early-stage company with a bold mission and significant work ahead; every employee at Jaan Health must embody growth company DNA. This means you have proven success in a high-performing environment: high velocity, strong ownership, comfort with ambiguity, resilience, and a true growth mindset.

You are both a playbook builder and executor, able to design scalable approaches for today while anticipating what the business will need tomorrow, and then follow through to deliver results.

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees and dependents at a low cost
  • Generous Paid Time Off: up to 35 paid days off each year so you can recharge, recover, and give back, including:

    • 100% match on the first 3% contributed, and 50% match on the next 2% contributed
  • A collaborative, mission-driven team helping transform healthcare at scale

If you take pride in delivering results, embrace challenges, and proactively seek improvement, then this is the place for you. You’ll join a smart, humble, and collaborative team dedicated to improving healthcare.
