POSITION SUMMARY:


We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Intern to support key HR and operational initiatives across our Ohio locations. This internship offers hands-on experience in process improvement, employee engagement, compliance, and HR systems organization. The intern will play a meaningful role in helping streamline administrative processes, enhance data tracking, and support company-wide initiatives.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 


Process Improvement & Automation

  • Assist in identifying and reducing administrative and paper-based processes 
  • Support efforts to automate and streamline HR workflows for efficiency and scalability 

Safety & Compliance

  • Develop and standardize a comprehensive safety packet for all Ohio locations 
  • Partner with teams to ensure consistency and accessibility of safety materials 

Employee Experience & Engagement

  • Coordinate two company-wide events (Summer Picnic and Holiday Party), including: 
    • Venue selection 
    • Communication planning 
    • End-to-end event coordination 
  • Assist in developing and maintaining an annual employee events calendar 

 

HR Operations & Systems

  • Support maintenance and organization of employee files within a centralized system 
  • Assist in consolidating operations training records into a single, accessible location 
  • Update and maintain company bulletin boards with accurate and timely information 

Data & Metrics

  • Aid in the new metric communication 
  • Help create repeatable, trackable processes for ongoing HR programs and metrics 

Facilities & Administrative Support

  • Develop and maintain a locker assignment and tracking process 
  • Develop checklist for ongoing facilities support for New Hires and Onboarding 

Training & Development Support

  • Assist in developing and organizing Pay-for-Skills binders on the production floor to ensure clarity, consistency, and accessibility of skill requirements and progression paths 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

· Strong organizational and time management skills 

· Detail-oriented with a process improvement mindset 

· Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) 

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills 

· Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines



EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: 


Education: Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field

 

COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • Strong computer proficiency, including familiarity Microsoft programs.
