Grad Intern — Finance

What you will do

In this vital role, you will support the Finance team by helping strengthen core finance databases, improve reporting outputs that support Finance and leadership decision-making and streamline purchase order (PO) processes.

Key responsibilities

  • Help build and maintain central finance/leadership reporting databases (e.g., consolidating inputs, improving data structure, and ensuring consistency).
  • Support optimization of the current Tableau reporting suite (e.g., validating outputs, refreshing views, and proposing enhancements).
  • Contribute ideas to improve efficiency and data quality, including exploring responsible uses of automation/AI tools where appropriate.
  • Support the team’s PO process workload, including tracking, coordination, and process documentation to help maintain steady operations.

Tools & skills you’ll use (examples)

  • Excel (data cleaning, pivots, lookups)
  • Tableau (validation, refresh, dashboard improvements)
  • Power BI (exposure/asset)
  • Office + collaboration tools; responsible AI copilots (where applicable)
  • Finance systems exposure (SAP / Oracle Hyperion — asset)
  • Enterprise ChatGPT

What we expect of you

Basic qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in (or recently graduated from within the last 3 years) an undergraduate or graduate program in Business, Finance, Analytics, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and comfort working with data sets and repeatable processes.
  • Working knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, lookups) and ability to learn new tools quickly.
  • Able to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders and communicate clearly.

Preferred qualifications

  • Bilingual (English/French).
  • Exposure to data visualization tools (Tableau and/or Power BI).
  • Interest in process improvement, automation, and responsible use of AI tools.
  • Familiarity with finance systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle Hyperion) is an asset.

The salary range for this position is $58000 – $72000 CAD.
