You will be an essential part of a team, moving between developing realistic physics-based simulators for 30-tonne excavators and creating sleek, gamified mobile applications that assist users in the field. You will see your code directly impact safety and efficiency on global construction sites.
Key Exciting Responsibilities
Develop and iterate on high-fidelity training simulators using game engine GoDot to recreate complex construction environments.
Build interactive mobile assistant apps that guide users through technical field workflows.
Implement realistic physics and kinematics to ensure simulator behavior accurately reflects the movement of heavy machinery.
Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create intuitive interfaces that make complex data easily digestible for machine operators.
Optimize performance for mobile and simulator platforms to ensure smooth, low-latency experiences in demanding environments.
Essential Skills & Experience
Currently pursuing a degree in Game Development, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
Practical experience in software development with a focus on GoDot (C#).
A solid understanding of 3D math, physics, and asset integration workflows.
Strong problem-solving skills and a desire to work in a highly collaborative, cross-functional team.
Must be legally authorized to work in New Zealand.
Bonus Points For
Experience with Mobile App development (Android/iOS) or cross-platform frameworks.
A portfolio or GitHub link showcasing previous game projects or interactive simulations.
