About the Role

JOB FUNCTION

 

The Private Banking Intern will support the Private Banking team in delivering high‑touch service to high‑net‑worth clients. This role provides hands‑on exposure to client relationship management, financial analysis, deposit processes, and the daily operations of a private banking group. The intern will work closely with bankers, analysts, and support staff to assist with client requests, research, reporting, and project work.



DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist Private Banking Officers with client onboarding, documentation, and account maintenance.
  • Support the preparation of client presentations, financial summaries, and relationship reviews.
  • Review and organize client files to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal policies.

  • Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and client‑focused projects.
  • Provide general administrative support, including reporting, data entry, and project coordination.
  • Select a capstone project to research, develop and present findings to the advisors at the end of the program.
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold the highest standards of professionalism.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


Work Experience 

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in private banking, wealth management, or financial services.


Preferred Experience (Optional)

  • Previous internship or work experience in banking, wealth management, or financial analysis
  • Exposure to client service or relationship‑focused roles
  • Experience handling confidential information or working in a professional office setting

 

Supervisory Experience 

  • No supervisory experience required.

 

Education/Skills

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast‑paced environment
  • Professional demeanor and strong customer service orientation
