About the Role

Job Description: 

We're looking for a Software Development Intern to join our Software and AI team and work on the oneDNN opensource project (https://github.com/oneapi-src/oneDNN). oneDNN is a powerful, cross-platform library focused on making neural networks run faster and more efficiently. It plays an important role in Intel's AI ecosystem and is used by popular frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, OpenVINO, and ONNX Runtime.
As an intern, you'll get hands-on experience developing new features and algorithms that are optimized for Intel CPUs, integrated graphics, and discrete GPUs. You'll also help improve performance for current and future Intel hardware. This includes learning about low-level performance tuning, hardware aware parallel programming, and even some assembly level optimization.

Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree (3rd or 4th year preferred) in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Able to work parttime for the full duration of the internship
  • Comfortable communicating in English
  • Solid C/C++ programming skills on Linux and/or Windows
  • Good understanding of algorithms and data structures
  • Strong problem solving skills with a curious and openminded mindset
  • Motivated, proactive, willing and able to learn quickly


Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience or familiarity with SYCL or CUDA
  • Background in mathematics, especially matrix-vector operations
  • Experience using version control systems such as Git and GitHub
  • Familiarity with remote development using Microsoft Visual Studio
  • Experience with Linux systems programming
  • Interest or experience in performance debugging and optimization
