Pathfinder Bank is seeking an HR Intern to support operations within a community banking and financial services environment. This role contributes to human resources administration, employee onboarding, recruitment support, and HR compliance activities, providing hands-on experience across core HR functions while ensuring accuracy, organization, and confidentiality.

Position Summary
Assists in the administration, operations, and compliance functions of the Human Resources Department. Supports day-to-day HR activities including employee records management, onboarding, and recruitment coordination.
Essential Functions
- Assist with maintenance of employee personnel files in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements
- Support HR processing of documentation related to payroll and benefits to ensure accurate recordkeeping and proper deductions
- Assist with recruitment and onboarding activities, including preparing new hire materials, orientation packets, and employee files
- Provide administrative support for HR processes including hiring, training, and employee changes
- Assist with tracking logs, records, and HR documentation in a timely and organized manner
- Support special HR projects and initiatives as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Intermediate computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Strong administrative and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Ability to follow directions and complete assignments accurately
- Basic mathematical and recordkeeping skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
- Interest in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Prior administrative, internship, or office experience
