YOUR DAY TO DAY:

The EHS Co-op will support day-to-day Environmental, Health & Safety activities within an electronic device manufacturing environment. This role provides hands-on experience in compliance management, risk reduction, safety culture improvement, and environmental stewardship.

YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR:

 

  • Assist with routine EHS inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
  • Support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action tracking.
  • Help maintain EHS documentation, including SDSs, PPE assessments, chemical inventories, and compliance records.
  • Participate in developing and delivering safety trainings and awareness campaigns.
  • Assist with environmental programs, including hazardous waste management, recycling, air emissions, stormwater, and hazardous materials handling.
  • Collect and analyze EHS data for reporting, trending, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support operations in grade 4-I onsite wastewater treatment plant as required.
  • Assist with industrial hygiene and medical surveillance programs.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to implement safe work practices.
  • Contribute to emergency response planning, drills, and equipment inspections.
  • Complete special projects assigned by EHS leadership based on business needs.
  • Perform other duties as needed and assigned

 

YOU ARE THE RIGHT PERSON FOR THIS JOB IF YOU HAVE:

 

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s program in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Interest in manufacturing operations and hands-on problem solving.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating in a team environment.
  • Experience in a lab or manufacturing setting, preferred.
  • Familiarity with OSHA, EPA, MassDEP, RCRA, or similar EHS regulations, preferred.
  • This position requires potential access to technology controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). The successful candidate must be a “U.S. Person” as defined under ITAR and EAR. In order to be a U.S. Person for ITAR and EAR purposes, you must (i) be a citizen or national of the United States; or (ii) be a lawful permanent resident of the United States; or (iii) a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3). 

 

Salary Range: $24.00 - $28.00 / hour
