Description of the Position: (Purpose of the Position): 

Advancement Fellows support the fundraising efforts of St. Olaf’s Advancement Division. Utilizing fundraising-software Raise and Gratavid, Advancement Fellows engage alumni and parents through email, text, video message, and written letters to cultivate, solicit, and acknowledge financial gifts to the college. Advancement Fellows are significant contributors to the St. Olaf Fund and Financial Aid, and they also act as ambassadors to St. Olaf alumni.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Craft and send verbal and written messages to alumni and parents, utilizing the St. Olaf style guide and guidance from St. Olaf Fund staff in a timely manner

  • Accurately log and record communications, including responses

  • Educate others about the importance of engaging and giving back to St. Olaf

  • Identify opportunities for alumni to get involved with St. Olaf’s priorities

  • Maintain awareness of events and opportunities on campus and in the alumni/parent community off campus
