Looking for a finance internship where you can apply what you’re learning at university and gain exposure to how large, complex organisations operate?
As a Finance Intern at Northrop Grumman Australia (NGA), you’ll gain hands‑on experience supporting our Finance team across business and program activities. This is a great opportunity to build practical skills, learn from experienced professionals, and understand how finance supports major Defence and technology programs.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll be part of a supportive and collaborative team, with guidance and mentoring throughout your internship. Your work may include:
Assisting with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting activities
Supporting cost tracking and financial analysis
Helping prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations
Working with financial data to support business and program decisions
Learning how finance operates within a large, regulated organisation
Collaborating with stakeholders across finance, programs, and operations
This 12 week internship is designed to help you build confidence, develop practical skills, and connect your studies to real business outcomes. This role is based at our Fortitude Valley office in Brisbane, Queensland.
Eligibility requirements:
We’re looking for motivated students who are keen to learn and get involved:
Currently studying a Bachelor of Finance, Accounting, Business, Commerce, Economics, or a related discipline
Interested in building a career in finance or business
Strong attention to detail with an interest in working with numbers and data
Willing to learn new systems and processes
Good communication skills and a collaborative attitude
Australian citizenship (required for some work environments)
Ability to work full-time over the allocated internship period

The Recruitment Process
