About the Role

Job Title: Logistics Intern 

Location: Temple, TX (On-site) 

Reports To: Logistics Manager 

 Position Summary 

MooreCo is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Logistics Intern to join our team. This role is a great opportunity for students pursuing a degree in Accounting, Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field who are looking to gain hands-on experience in logistics within a manufacturing environment. 

The Logistics Intern will primarily support freight bill reconciliation and assist with freight quoting tasks as they develop their skills. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and eager to learn about logistics and supply chain operations. 

 

Primary Responsibilities: 

 

  • Review, reconcile, and process freight invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance with company procedures
  • Assist in freight quoting for small parcel, LTL, and truckload shipments
  • Support internal reporting and freight cost analysis
  • Maintain accurate records of freight charges and resolve billing discrepancies
  • Communicate with carriers, vendors, and internal teams as needed
  • Participate in additional logistics or supply chain projects as assigned

 

Requirements: 

 

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Basic understanding of accounting or logistics processes is preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable working with data
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
  • Available to start part-time before the end of April 2025, with the ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) from May through August 2025
