About the Role

Corporate Intern – Regulatory Support

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Intern to support our Regulatory Department at our corporate office in Lakewood, Colorado. This role is ideal for a college student interested in corporate operations, administration, records management, regulatory compliance, or the mining and energy industry.

The primary responsibility of this position is assisting with scanning, organizing, indexing, and digitally logging regulatory and operational documents to support accurate recordkeeping and document retention practices. The intern will work closely with members of the Regulatory team and gain exposure to corporate compliance processes and cross-functional administrative operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Scan, upload, organize, and electronically file regulatory and corporate documents

  • Maintain accurate digital logs and tracking spreadsheets for document management purposes

  • Assist with records retention and document organization projects

  • Verify scanned documents for quality, completeness, and accuracy

  • Support data entry and administrative tasks related to regulatory filings and compliance records

  • Assist with maintaining confidential and sensitive company information

  • Coordinate with internal departments to collect and organize documentation as needed

  • Perform other administrative or project-based duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; currently pursuing an associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook

  • Ability to manage repetitive tasks with accuracy and consistency

  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally

  • Previous administrative, clerical, or office experience preferred but not required

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with scanning systems, digital filing, or records management

  • Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat or document management software

Physical and Sensory Demands

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer workstation

  • Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, scanning, and handling documents

  • Ability to occasionally lift and move files or boxes up to 25 pounds

  • Visual ability to read printed and electronic documents accurately

Work Environment

This position operates primarily in a professional corporate office environment. The role may involve handling confidential business records and requires a high degree of accuracy and professionalism.

Colorado Pay Transparency Notice

In compliance with Colorado law, the hourly compensation range for this position is $20-25 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, education, skills, and business needs.
