About the Role

We’re growing and looking to hire a Data Intern who embodies our core values: People First, Customer Obsession, Strive for Excellence, and Integrity.

Claroty is a global leader in cyber-physical systems (CPS) protection, dedicated to securing the critical infrastructure that keeps the world running. We’re a fast-growing, award-winning team where innovation meets purpose—and we want you to help us define the future of cybersecurity.

At Claroty, our technology strategy is focused on solving real-world cyber-physical security problems at scale through robust, distributed, cloud-native architectures. We design and evolve a unified platform that serves as the technological backbone for all Claroty products, delivering deep visibility across CPS environments—without disrupting critical operations. Our architecture emphasizes scalability, resilience, and extensibility to support both cloud and on-prem deployments.

About the role:

We are seeking a Data Intern with sharp analytical skills, strong research instincts, and a self-driven mindset to join our Data & AI Group (comprising Data Science, Analytics, Engineering, and Data PMs). You will play a key role in advancing Claroty’s cyber-physical systems (CPS) coverage, shaping our new AI-powered CPS Library, and refining our AI agent in-product.

This position demands independence and accuracy. You will evaluate, tag, and label LLM sessions, optimize prompts, analyze ML experiments, and train strong LLM-as-a-judge capabilities to ensure our AI systems deliver reliable, high-quality outputs, and help shape our new AI-based CPS Library along with Claroty’s broader AI capabilities.

Responsibilities

As a Data Intern , Your impact will be:

  • Independent research on CPS assets and product taxonomies
  • Research on entity resolution - differences between devices and cyber-related threats
  • Refining and evaluating our LLM-as-a-judge methodologies
  • Constructing, tuning, and evaluating agentic AI workflows
  • LLM session tagging, labeling, and evaluation
  • Prompt engineering and optimization
  • Results analysis of experiments and A/B tests
  • Researching new data sources and integrations
  • Data quality evaluation and ground-truth creation
  • Building and maintaining structured evaluation datasets
  • Working closely with data scientists, analysts, Data PMs, and engineering to translate findings into product improvements
  • Fostering a culture of rigor and accuracy - owning decisions and driving consistency across evaluations

Requirements

What do you need to succeed in this role?

  • Strong research skills, with the ability to independently investigate unfamiliar technical domains (CPS, industrial assets, product hierarchies) and reach well-founded conclusions
  • Experience with web search and OSINT analysis
  • Hands-on experience with Python and SQL
  • Experience in LLM prompt engineering and evaluation
  • Detail-oriented, trustworthy, and able to work independently.
  • Collaborative mindset with strong ability to work cross-functionally with data science, engineering, product and analytics teams
  • Willing and able to meet challenges head-on, solve problems, make things happen, and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, ever-changing environment
  • Excellent communication skills, oral and written. English - must
  • Availability for a half-time position - two full days from the office + half day remote

Advantage:

  • Experience in a cybersecurity or CPS domain
  • Familiarity with data labeling/annotation workflows, LLM orchestration tools (LangChain, n8n), or big-data platforms (Databricks)
  • Working with agentic coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor)
