EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

Required

  • Education
    Currently enrolled in high school. 
    AGE REQUIREMENTS: 
    • Minimum 14 years of age. 
    • Individuals ages 14-15 are subject to additional restrictions in accordance with UT Southwestern policy and applicable state and federal labor laws. 
    • Individuals ages 16 and older are not subject to additional age-based work restrictions. 
     
  • Experience
    No prior experience. 
    If assigned to work in a research laboratory, additional documentation signed by a parent or legal guardian. 
     


JOB DUTIES

  • Will support research operations for assigned scientific or medical projects, including assisting in the selection of key research personnel. 
  • Will independently establish specific goals and objectives with minimal supervision. 
  • Will assign, coordinate, and review the work of team members, as well as design and plan experimental protocols. 
  • Will compile, analyze, and interpret research data and develop or refine techniques and procedures based on findings.
  • Performs a variety of duties to include, but not limited to, basic administrative and service related functions.
  • Assists, receives training, and acquires working knowledge from various departments.
  • May assist staff with day to day operations.
  • May participate in basic to moderately complex projects as requested by supervisor.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
