The Computer Science Department (CSD) is one of the seven academic departments in the Carnegie Mellon School of Computer Science (SCS). Our environment is demanding and fast-paced, but it's also innovative, flexible, and highly collaborative. We are seeking a Research Assistant Intern to work on research projects pertaining to theoretical and applied cryptography. Specific work assignments and research depend on assignment of Project PI.

Core Responsibilities

  • Works with project PI to collect, record and assess research data. 
  • May write and test code according to project specifications. 
  • Assesses data and analyzes results. 
  • Attends meetings and participates in various seminars/training classes as needed
  • Prepares reports and other dissemination and outreach materials

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Previous research experience preferred.
  • A combination of education and proven experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.
