The Underwriting & Administrative Intern will support the underwriting team by assisting with risk evaluation, data analysis, documentation, and day‑to‑day operational tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Underwriting Support — Assist underwriters in gathering, reviewing, and organizing submission materials, including applications, loss runs, financials, and supplemental forms.

  • Risk Research — Conduct background research on insureds, industries, and risk factors to support underwriting decisions.

  • Data Entry & Accuracy — Input and maintain accurate data in underwriting systems, rating tools, and internal databases.

  • Administrative Coordination — Support scheduling, file management, document preparation, and internal communication workflows.

  • Policy Documentation — Assist with preparing binders, endorsements, quote letters, and renewal documentation.

  • Quality Control — Help review files for completeness, compliance, and adherence to underwriting guidelines.

  • Cross‑Team Collaboration — Work with underwriting, claims, and operations teams to support ongoing projects and process improvements.
