JOB SUMMARY: The Electrical Engineering Intern will assist engineers with day-to-day electrical engineering layout design, CAD libraries, part creation and maintenance, and testing of electrical systems used on TOMCO systems product offerings. 



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with engineering on design and testing of electrical systems used on TOMCO product offerings. 
  • Work with cross-functional teams in the planning and design of new engineered products to ensure products are designed for manufacturability. 
  • Familiar with AutoCAD/Inventor, or similar CAD package for the creation of wiring diagrams and schematics 
  • Generate and maintain component CAD libraries 
  • Generate and maintain bills of materials from schematics 
  • Work with manufacturing engineering to check and finalize designs for production 
  • Work closely with engineers, and multiple cross functional departments as required to facilitate job duties. 


KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND/OR ABILITIES:

  • Actively enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Electrical Engineering or a related field. 
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD/Inventor or a similar CAD package. 
  • Familiarity with electrical design principles and wiring diagrams. 
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team. 
  • Enthusiasm for learning and contributing to engineering projects.
