About the Role

**This posting is for High School Students in a CTE program. Please only apply if you are attending an Application Session with an IU Health representative.**

This posting includes all West Region locations (Arnett, Frankfort, Tipton and White Memorial Hospitals). 

The Student-Patient Care Support provides support to the patient care team.  Job duties include but are not limited to:  assisting the team with patient care by performing tasks such as providing water to patients, patient mobility, assisting patients with meal orders and eating,  patient hygiene, taking patient vital signs, stocking supplies, setting up patient rooms for admissions, linen changes.  Students will not handle urine/stool from patients receiving hazardous drugs (i.e., chemo). The student is obtaining valuable patient care experience and skills.  

  • High School Diploma/GED is preferred.
  • Requires 0-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Must be a currently enrolled student in High School or a higher educational institution, specialized professional training or vocation training. 
  • High School students under 17 must be able to obtain an appropriate worker's permit under the department of labor rules and regulations.
