Description

Position Summary

The Accounting and Finance Intern will assist the Finance Department with administrative and accounting support duties, including filing, organizing records, and processing accounts payable documentation. This position provides hands-on experience in office administration and basic accounting functions within a professional office environment.

Primary Responsibilities

  • File and organize financial and administrative documents
  • Scan and electronically save records in appropriate folders
  • Assist with accounts payable data entry and invoice processing
  • Match invoices with supporting documentation
  • Maintain organized vendor and payment files
  • Assist with mail distribution and general office tasks
  • Support the finance team with special projects as assigned

Requirements

Qualifications

  • High school student, college student, or recent graduate
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally
  • Dependable and able to work independently

Preferred Skills

  • Interest in accounting, finance, or business administration
  • Prior office or clerical experience is helpful but not required

Work Environment

  • Timeframe: May 20th through July 31st 
  • Part-time schedule Tues, Weds, Thurs between 9:30 am- 5:30pm 
  • $15/hr. not to exceed 20 hours per week 
  • Office setting majority sedentary with some walking to copy and supply area 
  • Supervised by Senior Accounting Mgr. and VP of Finance
