ABOUT SHOPLC

ShopLC is a global multi-channel retail brand operating live TV shopping channels across the US, UK (TJC), and Germany, alongside fast-growing e-commerce platforms. We are building the next generation of AI-powered commerce experiences, including AI-generated video hosts and automated content pipelines for large-scale product storytelling.

ROLE OVERVIEW

As an AI Engineering Intern, you will support hands-on experimentation and development across AI video generation, data pipelines, and LLM-driven automation. This role is designed to give real-world exposure to how generative AI is applied in production commerce environments.

You will work closely with engineers and product teams to prototype workflows, test AI tools, evaluate outputs, and document learnings that contribute directly to ShopLC’s AI innovation roadmap.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in creating and testing AI-generated product videos using avatar platforms such as HeyGen, D-ID, Synthesia, or similar tools.
• Support preparation of product data, scripts, and media assets used in AI-driven video generation.
• Help test and evaluate AI-generated outputs for accuracy, quality, and brand alignment.
• Contribute to basic automation scripts (Python) for batch processing or experimentation.
• Assist in prompt design and refinement for LLM-generated scripts and creative outputs.
• Support simple data ingestion or transformation tasks related to product catalogs or media assets.
• Research emerging tools and best practices in generative AI, LLMs, and AI video technology.
• Document workflows, experiments, and recommendations clearly.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI/ML, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong interest in generative AI, LLMs, or applied AI systems.
• Basic programming experience in Python.
• Familiarity with APIs, JSON, or scripting concepts.
• Comfortable learning new tools quickly and working in an experimental environment.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

PREFERRED (NICE-TO-HAVE)

• Academic or personal projects involving LLMs, computer vision, or generative models.
• Exposure to prompt engineering or AI content generation tools.
• Familiarity with video or media processing tools (FFmpeg, Adobe tools, etc.).
• Basic understanding of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Interest in retail, e-commerce, or media technology.
