Position Name: Student Administrative Engineering Internship

  

BESL is seeking a qualified student for a Student Administrative Engineering Internship position. This position serves an integral role in providing professional, seamless office support through a variety of clerical and internal research and development services ensuring smooth functioning for a busy, geographically diverse company. This includes, but is not limited to, providing administrative support to the Company's CEO and Executive Staff, as well as other department personnel as required. This position requires attention to detail and the ability to conduct thorough reviews of written information, analysis of complex and/or confidential data, preparation of reports, charts, and development of presentation materials. Works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Must maintain confidentiality. Responds to or routes non-routine or confidential inquiries from external or internal sources with correspondence or other messaging as directed. Has advanced word processing, spreadsheet, and graphics software skills. Gainful experience and proficiency in multiple, relevant administrative competencies. Typically requires 3-5 years of related experience.

· Takes and routes messages to appropriate personnel

· Receives, prepares, and transmits communications by preparing and organizing documents

· Performs all manner of data entry (to include graphic arts) as required 

· Provides support to the Company's Quality program as directed

· Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, staff meeting and personnel support

· Support Internal Research & Development and other departmental initiatives upon request, contributing to project tasks as      assigned

· Accomplishes company's mission by completing tasks in a timely, efficient, cost-effective manner. Advocates company principles and vision 

· Ability to work accurately with the following as required: spreadsheets, database management 

· Must work collaboratively within a team, or independently, as the situation requires.

· Must be detail oriented, multi-tasking, seeking process improvement, demonstrating creative solutions, receiving and applying guidance, accordingly, accept responsibility for actions, maintains professional client/customer/employee interaction, time management, and goal oriented

· Maintain a strong commitment to safety, security and confidentially consistent with Space and Defense industry requirements

· Assist in other departments on an as-needed basis to help advance company objectives

· Shall comply with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations regarding procedures related to civil rights, affirmative action, and equal opportunity policies including applicable substance abuse screenings and background checks 

· Other duties as required

  

Education/Certifications:

· Minimum High School Diploma plus 1 year of college or applied work experience

· Strong proficiencies MS Office Suite; Preferred experience with Adobe, Adobe Programs

· Excellent writing, interpersonal, communication, organizational and self-proofing skills

· Ability to interact and elicit cooperation from a variety of individuals and be responsive to the needs of others

· Must be able to achieve and maintain a DOD Security clearance

Pay Data (Range): $16.00-$23.00 per hour


Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act:  

BESL complies with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. The salary range for this effort in Colorado is approximately $16.00 to $23.00 per hr.
