EAGLES is a comprehensive transition program (CTP) for students with intellectual disabilities. The program provides a postsecondary education opportunity for students with intellectual disabilities to engage in a two or four-year campus experience. It is a non-degreed program focusing on (1) academic enrichment, (2) personal and social skills, (3) independence, (4) health and wellness, and (5) integrated work experiences. About the Role
Overview

The Data Science and Operations Assistant for the Office of Career Development and Corporate Relations (CDCR) is responsible for working with multiple platforms including but not limited to Salesforce, Handshake, and PowerBI to pull reports, analyze and report data findings, create correlation reports, provide outcome information, inform strategy and tell stories through data.


Additionally, this position is responsible for assessing/ improving technical system processes in the office as needed to improve work efficiency.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain written standardized process/manual for CDCR reporting, incorporating the different software platforms in which data will be gathered (Handshake, Advise Assist, Salesforce, etc.)
  • Explore Handshake Insights capabilities, developing a streamlined process for data collection (that is currently gathered manually)
  • Analyze and report data findings to CDCR staff
  • Provide correlation reports between student engagement with CDCR appointments, career development workshops and employer events and first destination outcomes – by department
  • Provide correlation reports of outcomes (first destination & internships) to Handshake applications
  • Assist with the compilation and design of annual report metrics and departmental annual report metrics
  • Work with CDCR Office to look at specific outcomes for the strategic priorities and how to create appropriate reports to measure outcomes
  • Work with Handshake and Salesforce platform to develop reports that will provide employer engagement outcomes and make correlations regarding industry relationships that need to be developed/cultivated based on data.
  • Provide data and reports as needed to campus and corporate partners
  • Work with the different teams in the CDCR office to develop effective survey tools for employers and students, and reporting those survey findings into data-driven visuals to inform the CDCR of the effectiveness of programming
  • Build simple reports in Handshake/Salesforce to assist others in the office with specific data collection needs
  • Distribute signage throughout Brown Kopel and to the department advisors regularly that promotes all CDCR student sevices and events
  • Run and maintain CDCR events on the SGCOE college calendar, including populating these on to monitor screens throughout the college as needed
  • Maintain and provide guidance on website updates for CDCR including content updates and refreshed semester specific content
  • Develop career fair specific information to distribute to departments.
  • Automate tedious or time-consuming processes using programming
  • Assist as needed with logistics and planning for major career events
