Requisition: Summer Intern for Consumer Business Group R&D

Overview:

The 3M Summer Internship Program provides students with opportunities to gain hands‑on experience, deepen technical understanding, and learn how innovation supports real business solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support for Thermal Insulation and Fabric Protector portfolios

• Support testing activities for new product and application development

• Assist in conducting competitive product analysis and organizing relevant data

• Support preparation of demo samples for internal and external use

• Assist with patent reviews and information gathering

Qualification:

• Current undergraduate, master’, or PhD student

• Majors in materials science, textile engineering, chemical engineering, polymer science, applied chemistry, or related fields preferred

• Proactive learning attitude and strong teamwork and communication skills

• Creative mindset and interest in exploring technical solutions

• Ability to read, write and communicate fluently in English

Work Location: Shanghai R&D Center
