Position summary:
This internship provides hands-on experience in the day-to-day operations of a finance function, offering exposure to key areas such as financial analysis, internal controls, cash flow management and accurate financial record keeping. You’ll have the opportunity to support routine accounting tasks, assist in preparing financial reports and gain insight into how sound financial practices drive organisational performance.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Reconciling bank statements, maintaining transaction records, preparing payment lists, processing journal entries, and assisting with cash management

  • Supporting the Accounts Payable and Fixed Asset teams by registering and verifying vendor invoices, maintaining the fixed asset register, performing reconciliations, assisting with month-end closing and investigating discrepancies

  • Supporting the Accounts Receivable team by preparing and sending customer invoices, reconciling accounts receivable and supporting billing enquiries

  • Maintaining financial documentation, assisting with audit preparation, contributing to other projects and coordinating with other departments

Who we’re looking for: 

  • University students, preferably studying Finance, Accounting, or related fields

  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Familiarity with accounting software is an advantage

  • Proficient in both written and spoken English

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask effectively

  • Good analytical skills and a results oriented approach

  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate well within a team
