Shell Mobility Malaysia – Brand & Communications Implementer (Intern) - 4 months

The Brand & Communications Implementer is to support the execution of branding and communications strategy, that drive customer engagement, retention, and brand loyalty. This role will support the Brand & Communications Manager, and is responsible for implementing and optimizing Shell Mobility’s connected customer experience as the customer facing communications implementer. This role will support the Brand & Communications Manager to lead and drive the Shell Mobility brand direction, communications strategy, innovation, sustainability and support the commercial growth targets of Shell Mobility Malaysia.
Responsibilities
1. Owns the development of the Brand Big Ideas/Core Creative Ideas of eMobility and Fleet Solutions, with agencies, that will lead to motivating and effective customer experiences across multiple engagement opportunities, and leads to efficient and effective communications assets/deliveries.
2. Owns the Fleet Solution and eMobility Brand SP&A and will be responsible to lead in all brand strategy and media/communications plans. Consult with the Fuels Brand Manager B2B and the eMobility Manager to ensure integration of the brand strategy and media/communications plans with fuels & EV.
3. Support the delivery of the growth plans and ambitions for Mobility Malaysia, through collaborative partnerships and lead a step change in marketing communication focus from product led and Mobility verticals lead to a connected customer’s need led communications.
4. Develop and deliver an integrated marketing plan that makes optimum use of the paid, earned and owned channels to deliver strong returns on investment and support the growth objectives of the business pillars.
5. Strong budget and cost management, agency management & KPI setting and benchmarking.
6. Writes and delivers effective MarComms strategic briefs and builds sustainable agency relationships. Uses agency reviews to drive meaningful change in relationships and commercial outcomes.
7. Lead and is the focal point for brand management for Fleet Solutions and eMobility, ensuring branding policies are aligned with global VI standards, Shell’s Brand Purpose, Personality and our Powering Progress ambitions.
8. Supports the B&C Manager as local focal point for brand standards enquiries and escalate concerns to global Mobility VI & Brand Manager when necessary. Ensure all local Area office site-level marketing campaigns and materials and image standards are in line with global and mobility standards.
9. Evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of all our communications; discovering and implementing improvements to maximise customer impact and budget efficiencies across all channels.
10. Bring an external perspective to communications management and best practice for customer engagement.
Skills and requirements
1. A degree holder, preferably in areas of studies in Marketing, Brand Management and/or Marketing Communications
2. A passion for marketing and strong drive for market leadership.
3. Strong focus on strategic problem solving skills, leveraging insights to identify new customer opportunities, and developing customer communications to meet future needs.
4. Exceptional communication skills.
5. Experience in managing multiple agencies and building integrated agency delivery models.
6. Experience in driving innovations (concepts to implementation).
7. Experience in being a team leader in university is an added advantage.
8. Problem-solving oriented, particularly in an ever-changing environment; comfortable to make decision with insufficient information
