MAIN PURPOSE

  • Use machine learning and internal market analysis data to synthesize demand models for new product development
  • Identify impact on business strategy based on dynamic market trends
  • Collect and analyze import data for specific chemical of interest
  • Organize available data in easy to use and expand databases
  • Summarize results in business reports and presentations

 

COMPLEXITY OF THE JOB

  • Use machine learning tools to collect market data
  • Data analysis
  • Interfacing with chemists and chemical engineers on product development
  • Interface with Business Intelligence team to collect market data and import data

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Understand business strategy for new product development of a critical battery material
  • Collect data from business inteligence team and market information based on demand and production models, analyze and present impact to the business and startegy
  • Set up prompts to search via machine learning end market dymamics (battery manufacturers, car OEMs) 
  • Collect and develop way to clean data of imports and pricing on the critical material
  • Set up an algorithm to analyze market trends from prior month/ quarter

 

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Knowledge of data analysis and data mining platforms (i.e. excel)
  • Building databases easy to use by other business development professionals
  • Experience in basic lab processes and techniques
  • Preferred some experience with analytical instruments
  • MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint

 

EDUCATION

Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
