About the Role

Position Summary

Knowles Valencia is seeking a motivated Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Intern to support manufacturing operations. This position provides hands-on experience in industrial safety, environmental compliance, and regulatory programs within a high-tech manufacturing environment.

 

Internship Duration: Flexible (Summer or Part-Time During School Year)

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support compliance with OSHA, EPA, and Cal/OSHA regulations
  • Assist with hazard assessments and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs)
  • Participate in safety inspections and audits
  • Maintain EHS documentation and training materials
  • Support environmental programs (waste, air, chemical inventory)
  • Assist in incident investigations and corrective actions
  • Help deliver safety training and communications
  • Analyze EHS data and prepare reports

 

Qualifications

  • Current student pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s in EHS, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Strong interest in workplace safety and environmental compliance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong communication and analytical skills

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior EHS coursework or internship experience
  • Exposure to manufacturing or lean practices

 

Compensation

Hourly Rate: $22.00 – $28.00 per hour

Physical Requirements

Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including walking, standing, and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
