About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Learning & Development Intern to support our Instructional Design team. This role offers hands-on experience contributing to real-world training initiatives across multiple phases of the learning lifecycle, including design, development, and evaluation. 

This internship is ideal for someone interested in instructional design, eLearning development, and learning media production. The intern will play a meaningful support role in high-impact training projects, helping bring learning experiences to life while gaining exposure to industry tools and best practices. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

Instructional Design & eLearning Development Support 

  • Organize and structure source content for training materials 
  • Assist with drafting storyboards and learner-facing content 
  • Edit and refine scripts for clarity and engagement 
  • Develop knowledge checks, quizzes, and scenario-based learning activities 
  • Document subject matter expert (SME) feedback and track revisions 
  • Support eLearning development and quality assurance (QA) testing in tools such as Storyline, Rise, or similar platforms 
  • Maintain project documentation and version control 

Learning Media Production Support 

  • Capture and edit basic learning media (photos, video clips, B-roll, screenshots) 
  • Create simple graphics and visual assets for training materials 
  • Assist with captions, transcripts, and accessibility components 
  • Support basic audio and video editing 
  • Organize and maintain approved learning asset libraries 
  • Contribute to field-based or visual storytelling elements for training (as appropriate) 

General L&D Support 

  • Conduct research to support learning initiatives 
  • Format and prepare training materials and documentation 
  • Assist with LMS preparation and content uploads (as needed) 
  • Support documentation of third-party content and materials 
  • Help track project timelines, updates, and deliverables

Qualifications 

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Instructional Design, Learning & Development, Education, Communications, Multimedia, or a related field 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Interest in eLearning development and adult learning principles 
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office 
  • Familiarity with tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise, or similar platforms is a plus 
  • Basic experience with media creation or editing tools such as Canva, Adobe Express, Adobe Creative Suite, Camtasia, Vyond, or similar tools is a plus 
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Additional Information 

This role supports ongoing, multi-phase training initiatives that may continue beyond a single semester. Availability for future semesters may allow the intern to support projects through additional phases. Candidates available for extended internships will be given strong consideration.
