Role Overview:

The SchoolMint Marketing team is looking for a talented Marketing Intern to join the team this summer. This person should have a background in (or be studying) business, economics, consulting, research, product management, corporate strategy, or business development.  This is a 4-month paid internship starting in May.

The Marketing Intern will be responsible for providing support and assistance within the Marketing Department. Primary responsibilities include researching and analyzing the US education market including purchasing trends, consumer behavior, and market shifts; and collecting and analyzing data to inform the decision-making for forecasting and marketing campaigns. The successful market researcher will be able to autonomously analyze qualitative data, trends, strategies and competition aiming at increasing competitiveness and responding to changes in market conditions. This role will be versatile, dynamic, and informative as it works across the marketing and business spectrum. Being driven, productive, eager to learn/improve, self-motivated, innovative solution creator, team player and detail oriented are qualities necessary for success.

We’re especially interested in candidates who are curious about how emerging AI tools can support research, analysis, productivity, and marketing workflows.

 

What You’ll Do:

 

In this internship role, you will be exposed to overall marketing discipline, including market research and analysis,  digital and traditional communications, and marketing campaign planning. This is a great role for someone who is analytically curious and likes to work with people.  The successful candidate will work on a variety of projects under the supervision of our marketing team.  As part of this, the candidate will:

  • Research and analyze different regions, territories, and industry segments
  • Report on research findings and provide recommendations on trends, opportunities, and areas of focus
  • Look for relationships between different media tactics (traditional vs online)
  • Prepare reports and graphs of customer/industry trends, findings, and analyses
  • Assist with planning and execution of industry conferences, events, and webinars
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing and operations teams on strategic projects and analysis

 

About You:

  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication, presentation, and project management skills
  • Strong communication skills and a natural curiosity for data, answers and insights
  • Detail oriented and organized; highly quantitative and creative, passionate about data and eager to learn
  • A self-starter, quick learner, and strong collaborator
  • MBA, Marketing or Sales students desired
  • Interest in technology and/or information-based research
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Collaborative worker
  • Ability to work independently


Even Better:

  • Working knowledge of market research and marketing concepts, and a sound grasp of how to do research, collect and analyze data, and share findings.
  • Demonstrable familiarity and knowledge of emerging technologies with an innate passion and curiosity for technology
  • Experience using tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, or other AI platforms to support research, analysis, content development, or productivity workflows is a plus
  • Experience with data visualization tools 
  • Experience with Sheets and Slides 
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication, presentation, and project management skills
