About The Company
Belt Power helps you keep your mission-critical conveyors moving materials and products in high-volume production, packaging, pick/pack/ship, and distribution facilities. The USA’s #1 supplier of custom and standard replacement conveyor belts, hoses, and fittings. We provide expert answers, fabrication and installation -- 24/7. Operating conveyors at very high levels of uptime, quality, safety and efficiency is not easy to do. Conveyor belts wear out and can fail suddenly, and often must be replaced asap. That’s also not easy, as the belts are usually custom-made. That’s why as a maintenance manager, planner or buyer, you need outstanding service. But some suppliers leave you frustrated: • Can't reach a human when you call • Wait too long for answers—or can’t get answers • They can't supply the full breadth and depth of your needs • Belts that don’t operate well, with negative impacts on revenue and operating costs • They don’t make it easy to get the documentation you need That can mean tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars in downtime costs, and a lot of pressure on you. Instead, with Belt Power you can have: • More uptime and shorter downtimes • An easy, low hassle buying experience • Lower inventory investment, while being sure you have critical spares so the lines don't go down. • More life from the belts • Recommendations that save you money and help your facility run better Call us 24/7 at 800-886-2358 or visit https://www.beltpower.com/

Our culture is hands-on, fast-paced, and rooted in problem-solving, innovation, and teamwork.

If you’re looking for an internship where you’ll do more than observe — this is it.

What you'll do

As an Engineering Intern, you’ll work side-by-side with our Product Engineering team on real projects that matter. This is not a desk-only internship — you’ll be in the lab, on the shop floor, and collaborating across teams.

You’ll gain experience in:

  • Material validation testing (tensile, adhesion, elongation, modulus)
  • Collecting and analyzing test data using Excel
  • Preparing technical reports and validation documentation
  • Supporting product development and R&D initiatives
  • Assisting with CNC cutting operations for sample prep (training provided)
  • Helping design and validate tools and gauges, including 3D printed fixtures
  • Supporting small equipment builds and process improvement projects
  • Researching and sourcing materials for new product development
  • Collaborating with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Sales teams

Every day is different — and every project helps you build real engineering experience.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering
  • Basic 3D modeling experience (SolidWorks preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Mechanical aptitude and comfort working in a hands-on manufacturing environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work safely around equipment

Bonus Points If You Have:

  • Experience with lab testing, shop equipment, or 3D printing
  • A curiosity-driven mindset and desire to learn quickly
  • A proactive, reliable, and team-oriented attitude
